You will be working within the Business Architecture team of the Transformation Programme to gather a detailed understanding of the business processes and underlying requirements to satisfy the design, test and delivery of data collection services. The scope of the data collection includes online capture, print services, response management and public support.

You will:
* Work with the project teams to identify, document and finalise (when appropriate)
o Lead and manage investigations into business processes, functions, information flows, data structures and software development processes, using various methodical and consistent techniques;
o Lead, understand and communicate the big picture while working to assure the overall goal is maintained in creation of the product backlog, in addition to working at a detailed level during sprints and iterations;
o Define scope whilst shaping and challenging business priorities and value through collaboration;
o Responsible for the creation of requirements documentation to required standards. Using appropriate modelling techniques, considering requirement management and traceability ensuring traceability back to source, adherence to business objectives and their fitness for purpose;
o Deliver at pace using agile methodologies and principles;
o Assist decision makers in gathering information to make informed decisions.
* Ensure solution will meet requirements by;
o Working closely with the project team, test analysts and developers to assist with identification and creation of test scripts;
o Monitoring test results, investigating causes of failure and potential resolutions;
* Identify and assess the impacts of changes required to baselined documents;
* Ensure designs and requirements are kept up to date, following programme configuration management procedures;
* Assist project manager in prioritising and scheduling the development of requirements;
* Report progress in line with project reporting techniques & cycle

Essential Requirements include:
* A recognised qualification in Business Analysis; or
* Undergone formal business analysis training and be familiar with requirements engineering approaches and business process modelling techniques; or
* A proven track record in equivalent business analysis techniques, particularly business process modelling and requirements capture
* The post holder will be familiar with the Generic Statistical Business Process Model and the Generic Statistical Information Model.
