DUTIES:
1. To lead and direct the management of the support activities including the necessary integration co-ordination of the overall whole project activities.
2. To assume programme ownership of projects which provide technical support, ensuring that they are delivered to the requisite levels of cost, schedule and performance. This will include the management of the deployed permanent and contract staff, supervision of staff and the subcontract management of local industrial contractors.
3. To convene and lead dedicated technical & programme integration reviews with technical and project staff to ensure that the associated activities of design integration, work scope development and technical execution are under formal engineering control.
4. To direct and manage the scheduled activities and local specialist suppliers to ensure that the services and materials provided are fit for purpose and all activities conducted in a schedule and cost compliant manner.
5. To lead and direct routine and extraordinary programme meetings as required by the associated support project contract.
6. To lead and direct the development of the support activities acceptance regimes culminating in the documentation of same within a dedicated Acceptance Management Plan.
7. To own the development and release of the following support documents:
a. Support Work Package Description
b. Acceptance Management Plan
c. Logistics & Operations Management Plan
8. To support the Customer Review Meetings.
9. To support the following meetings and reviews:
a. Monthly Programme Review Meeting
b. Weekly Operations Meeting
c. Risk and Opportunity Review
d. Master Schedule Review
10. To be accountable for the development of an operational safety management framework and, through assurance, monitor the programme exposure to safety related hazards to insure that the both the working performed and the operational environment is Acceptably Safe.
11. To direct and manage staff in the mustering and storage of materiel from point of receipt to the dockside location including the associated surveillance regime.
12. To champion continuous improvement through effective quality management and the use of Learning from Experience techniques culminating in the controlled change to corporate processes and procedures which better reflect the operating model and prime contracting obligations.
13. To direct support programme compliance with and adherence to all relevant corporate and regulating bodies' codes of conduct, regulatory frameworks and legislative statutes as they relate and apply to the contract.
14. To provide assurance that the activities performed in support of the, including the activities contracted to third parties, are fit for purpose and undertaken by staff that are qualified, experienced and suitably supervised.
