You will be responsible for:
implementing mid-term (1-2 years) compliance, performance and information security (IS) strategies and related policies;
* Managing and implementing a range of compliance, performance and IS projects that will support organisational objectives and the NHS Digital Cyber Security programme;
* Monitoring and maintaining compliance, performance and IS system resources;
* Providing robust, effective and responsive compliance, performance / and IS services.
* To review new IT technologies and projects for compliance with policies for: ICO, NHS Digital, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyber Essentials scheme Dimensions
* The post holder will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of specialist Information and IT Security advice across the trust, advising on projects and policy.
* The post holder will work closely with Trust colleagues and 3rd party IT providers to ensure the protection of information communicated over local networks and the protection of the supporting infrastructure, including wireless networks, mobile devices, .
* Key elements of the post are policy management, business continuity, legal compliance, incident and event investigation, information security and Information Sharing
* The post holder will develop robust Information Security processes across the trust and support the completion of the IGTA in line with the national timetable .
* The post holder will be supporting the IT and IG leads to ensure that the trust complies with UK legislation relating to information security and for the effective management and delivery of information security to all trust staff.
* Supporting the development and management of the trust's information security policy, and supporting IG policies, with technical advice and information sharing protocols.
* Supporting the IT and IG lead with the operational implementation of the overall IG management framework and other related strategies (e.g. National Programme for IT).

Essential Skills:
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
proven practical network security / technical engineering experience
At least 2 years' experience in a network security / technical engineering role
Hold one of the following: EC-Council Network Security Administrator, CompTIA Security+, MCSE or CCSP certification
Additional study in specialist Security/IG qualification
Able to learn and research without support,
Expert in IG, IS, Cyber Security
Engage and communicate with staff of all levels
Take initiative

Significant experience of NHS requirements
