The role of an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager is two-fold, in that the role will provide assistance to the Project Manager in the development and submission of the vehicle project/programme ILS component of tenders. Provide all project leads with ILS SME support in order to deliver the ILS component of all contracted ILS deliverables within projects/programmes. The role of the ILS Manager will be as an integral member of each Project (capacity allowing). Given the scope of ILS deliverables, the Project Manager and ILS Manager will be jointly empowered in the selection and tasking of specialist ILS sub-contractors to be brought on board to deliver specific deliverables. In doing so the individual must be able to apply subject matter judgement and commercial sense to all issues inhibiting the smooth delivery of ILS documentation.

Specific responsibilities include:
* To support the Project team (Project Managers, Project Engineers and Principle Design Manager) utilise ILS tools to influence the design of the product.
* Draft and develop bespoke ILS Plans in line with the customers' individual contracted service deliverables.
* Provision of ILS Plan updates in line with contract amendments as directed and approved by the Project Manager.
* Shortlisting and selection of contracted in ILS deliverables in support of the Project Manager and Head of Supply Chain.
* Reporting on the weekly progress status of all ILS work underway.
* Conducting contracted out ILS progress reports where for the Project Manager where required.
* Management of ILS issues, risks and opportunities.

We are seeking someone who has:
* Professional Project & Management qualifications
* Business Improvement qualifications or practical experience of tools

* Understanding of the use of ILS Tools to influence the design
* Understanding of system integration and configuration management
* The satisfactory achievement of project milestones schedules and budgets
* Strong negotiation skills
* Understanding of system integration and configuration management
