Network Support Engineer - DV Cleared
6 Month Initial Contract
My client is a leading Defence supplier looking to recruit a Network Support Engineers to work within their secure environment, based in Basingstoke, supporting government departments.
Able to work in a team or on their own with no or very little supervision.
Supporting government IaaS platform delivery and transition from build to live support.
Takes ownership of incidents and progresses them through to resolution.
Investigate service improvements and make recommendations based on these investigations.
Produce and present service reports using tools available, e.g. eHealth.
Perform known, existing implementation solutions, return to baseline configuration of routers and switches if and when required.
Detailed analysis of logs and other output from network devices
Skills and experience required:
A proven background within Network Engineering/Support, with experience of Cisco technologies
Cisco ACI, UCS, ISE, ASR & ISR Routers
CCNA / CCNP or equivalent qualification(s)
- Live DV Clearance is required
Strong knowledge of networking technologies, i.e. LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching and subnet addressing.
Strong in depth knowledge of networking hardware, especially from the Cisco family
Experience of network implementation work.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Additional useful skills and experience:
- Previous experience of network design.
ITIL Foundation or knowledge of ITIL processes.
Understanding of network security, wireless and firewall technologies
