New Business Sales / Business Development Manager

Home Based, Head Office in York- Competitive Salary with excellent commission scheme.

About the role

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and bright individual to be part of Sales team. The role is a home based external new business development role, responsible for generating growth of business from, and the development of, new business accounts.

The role requires the ability to generate a high rate of contact activity, meetings and ultimately sales with new organisations, to position Capita as an organisation capable of solving their business issues and over time to develop a set of spending accounts in line with profit growth targets. In addition, requires good organisational and prioritisation aligned with good sales techniques to fully access and capitalise on IT spend within the target prospect base.

What you will do:

  • Generate new business sales opportunities across multiple verticals to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Utilise Capita's existing relationships to upsell new products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all accounts in order to maximise the opportunity within the account.
  • Sell multiple products and services to each new business.

Your experience will include:

  • Previous experience working in a targeted sales environment.
  • Previous experience working in a targeted sales environment.
  • Experience selling technology products and services.
  • Have worked in a customer facing environment.
  • Experience closing sizeable deals.
  • Proven track record in overachieving on new business sales targets.
  • Must be pro-active, self-sufficient and motivated to achieve.
