Business Development Manager
New Business Sales / Business Development - Local Government
Location: Home Based (UK)
Salary: Competitive basic and commission scheme
About the role
This role is well support New Business Acquisition within Local and Regional Government. You will be targeted to bring in new Local Government and Regional Government accounts to this particular area of Capita where you will either build them up and manage the accounts or pass them over to an Account Manager.
The successful candidate will be a strong networker and an established sales person, with a strong background in software licensing, cloud and services solutions - preferably Microsoft having sold into Local and Regional Government.

What you will do:
- Network the various business within the Capita brand to seek out new business.
- Build a short - medium - long term pipeline of new business in the Local Government vertical.
- Identify, qualify, develop and maximise all opportunities for sales growth.
- Build strong relationships within this vertical.
- Recognise cross sell and up sell opportunities for Capita businesses
- Work collaboratively with the wider support team to maximise efficiency in preparing bids / proposals.
Your experience will include:
- Experience in aNew Business Acquisition role selling IT solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving / over achieving sales targets.
- Previously sold to and have a good understanding of the Local Government
- Ideally have experience selling Microsoft products including Azure, Office365, licenses and associated professional services.
