About the role

Eclipse is constantly expanding, and as such we have a superb opportunity for bright, talented, self-motivated individuals to join our in-house development team.

This is the chance for an experienced Technical Author to join a talented development team. The Technical Author will work closely with the team who work on Desktop and Browser solutions for the Legal Industry. The development team are well known for producing innovate code and delivering a high quality user experience.

The Technical Author will be responsible for working closely with the team to produce technical documentation for software products that will be used by clients and their end users. The role will require a technical understanding of software and APIs, as documentation will need to be written to instruct programmers and technical staff as well as end users.

What we need
You must be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with the following essential skills & qualities:

  • Previous experience of being a technical author or technical writer
  • Use of desktop publishing or authoring tools
  • Clear and concise writing style
  • Work in a team to produce high quality product information and technical documentation for new and existing products
  • Create and maintain documents to explain complex software by liaising with developers and product managers to derive content and requirements
  • Develop systems and processes for automated document generation
  • Work with users of the material to ensure all information is correct and present
  • Review and edit material created by other teams

Location
Office based Bradford, some UK travel will be required.
