I am currently recruiting a permanent member to join a focused Service Desk Team based in Welwyn Garden City, as a member of the Service Desk Team you will be dedicated to providing an excellent and consistent level of IT technical support to all headquarters and field staff. You will be required to work individually and as a team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and deliver positive results to service requests. You will also be required to cover a support rota to provide support for field based staff over the weekends and on bank holidays, which is expected to be an average of 6 hours (one weekend) per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an excellent customer focused service
  • Follow process, policies and procedure in an effort to streamline support
  • Understanding and practising the importance of assigning priority to a service request within a short time frame
  • Communicate with customers at regular intervals in the duration of a request/ticket in a professional manor
  • Use initiative and take responsibility for calls yet to be assigned or prioritised
  • Ensuring all calls assigned to you are handled in the appropriate manor, in line with defined service levels and policies


  • Microsoft Windows 7-10
  • Active Directory
  • Office 365 knowledge


  • Networking (understanding of TCP/IP, bandwidth, mobile networking)
  • ITIL Foundation/Knowledge
  • Knowledge of or experience supporting Digital Camera's
  • Supporting remote working on low bandwidth connection
  • Stock control systems
  • Cloud services (Azure, AWS)
  • Understanding of image/application deployment
