A well known public sector body that looks after the defence of the realm is looking for a naval architect to work on their submarine fleet in the south west. This is a unique contract for a naval architect to get into as submarines have different requirements to surface ship so you'll find unique challenges that you won't otherwise face, giving you extra skills to add to your portfolio.

Job offers:

  • An easy to get to location in the south west that has a nearby train station and motorway so you can get in and out quickly and spend more time at home.
  • Work on a unique project that will offer other opportunities around the country in the future, as one of the few people who would have worked on submarines and the planned expansion of the submarine fleet means that you will be in demand.
  • An SC cleared project that will keep your SC safe and mean that you'll have access to other high profile roles in the future.

Job requirements:

  • An experienced marine/structural/constructive engineer, with a good level of submarine knowledge, preferably in an operational environment
  • Ex military background, ideally from the submarine service would be beneficial.
  • SC cleared.
