Electronic Design Engineers

World class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit 5x Electronic Design Engineers.

The Electronics Engineering Department is currently looking to recruit a large number of Electronic Design Engineers / Electronic Development Engineers to work on exiting and future Programmes.  

Please note: You need to be a full UK national (British Passport holder) due to restrictions of the working environment. Unfortunately dual-nationals cannot be considered due to security restrictions.

Please Note: you must be eligible for SC (Secret Level) Security Clearance although this level of clearance is not required to be held at the time of application.

The contract is initially for 6 months (ongoing after).

Competitive hourly rates are being offered by the department.

Electronics Design Engineer Job Description:

Depending upon the stage of the project, perform a range of electronic design tasks, including negotiation of sub-system requirements, derivation of circuit architectures, circuit design and analysis, schematic entry using Zuken schematic editor, produce design documentation, achieve manufacture of prototypes and initial test of these, defining and performing formal testing including supporting environmental and EMC trials, produce design statement and test reports that contribute to the evidence Requirement for certification of the product.

This work will be achieved to time and budget under the direction of the Electronics Design Authority. Dependent upon the specific project task and technology used, a range of skills will be considered including, digital and microprocessor design, analogue design from low to RF frequencies, power electronics design including some power supply design.

The role requires candidates to be self-starters, have the ability to influence and interface throughout the organisation and to be able to organize and plan their own work. Issues with colour blindness need to be made know to Hiring Manager but are unlikely to affect the award of a contract.
