L&D Delivery Specialist for IP Act Implementation

Job Purpose

The role of the learning and development Implementation Lead is to support the overall business strategy and help the business to grow.

Role Profile

  • Assist the L&D Implementation lead in understanding business needs and learning objectives.
  • Assist the L&D Implementation lead in the development of training governance and support to Business As usual training teams, specifically on the content of the IP Act.
  • Work with peers to help progress and monitor the development of e-learning modules.
  • Work with peers to develop blended training, including the development of classroom based training and instructional specifications.
  • Deliver classroom based training courses on specified subjects.
  • Deliver workshops, coaching sessions and drop-in surgeries on specified subjects.
  • Help develop assessment criteria for deployment onto courses.

Skills and Experience

  • An enthusiastic and professional presenter.
  • Knowledge of e-learning methodologies and Learning Management Systems - in particular the deployment of material to MOODLE.
  • Good working knowledge of Business Change Activities and specifically the learning and development component.
  • Organised and flexible enough to respond to the changing classroom environment.
  • Ability to successfully train a wide variety of personalities, ability and levels and motivations.
  • Respect the environment in which they operate.
  • Experience in training design and development, and training delivery is essential for this role. Previous delivery of compliance/legalities training would be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of existing warrantry and RIPA process is also desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as the post holder will need to liaise and work closely with people at all levels across the Client.
  • High standard of communication skills are essential, as the post holder must be able to accurately comprehend the training and development needs of individuals and/or groups/teams/directorates.
  • Knowledge of handover to business as usual.
