DV Cleared - Wintel Engineer - Gloucestershire - 6 month contract

Currently recruiting for a Wintel Engineer for a large IT company working on a defence project, due to the nature of the project the ideal candidate will hold an active and valid DV Clearance. The role will be based in Gloucestershire on an initial 6 month contract.

The successful applicant will ideally be DV Cleared and be part of a larger Wintel support team that provide specialist support for all approved servers, and user access devices. They will also specialise in the support of all server and desktop based operating systems and applications provided by the solution.

The engineer will have a good understanding of IT Security and will provide an active role in maintaining and improving the security of the system to high government standards. The engineer will be required to perform detailed root cause analysis on server failures. The engineer will be required to install, configure, maintain and deploy products and services in line with the change control process, and be required to knowledge share and support projects, trials and exercises and assist with capacity and demand management.

The candidate will ideally be experienced in:

  • Windows Servers
  • Windows XP Desktop
  • Active Directory
  • Anti-Virus (VirusScan & EPO)
  • Microsoft Sharepoint
