You will work as part of the team responsible for the overnight migration of desktop PC's from legacy Win7 Os to out NSoIT infrastructure - Win7 image.
Current software distribution tooling is Radia. New tooling is using SCCM 2012.
You will be part of the migration team
Desktop migration is currently based around WoL/PXE booting once the network has flipped from legacy to new VLAN.
You will be responsible for end to end migration - starting/monitoring (eyes on glass)/troubleshooting - all done remotely.

Working as part of a major customer IT migration project you will be responsible for working within the migration team ensuring that user and computer migrations are successfully completed, monitoring the migration and troubleshooting issues to ensure minimal downtime and customer impact.

A flexible approach to working is required with typical work patterns including 4 day, 12hr rotation (7pm-7am) and standard Mon-Fri 37.5hr working week. Overtime and travel may be required also.

Specific responsibilities:
Troubleshoot SCCM and UAD issues pre- and post-migration
Support successful migration events
Drive quality and service improvement

Day to day responsibilities:
Be the focal point for SCCM migration and support activities
Ensure entry/exit handoffs are achieved
Ensure any CSI/LFE opportunities are captured and tracked to closure

Essential Skills:
Professional experience in minimum: 2 years technical background with SCCM experience

Skills and Experience:
Provide technical support for the SCCM and desktop migration activities
Expertise with Microsoft software including Windows 7 and Windows Server Editions
Active Directory, Group Policy knowledge
Exposure and working knowledge of both physical and virtual environments
Networking experience including TCP/IP including DHCP and DNS
SQL queries
Complete and submit migration reports as per project requirements
Self-starter, motivated to deliver to plan who commits and works as required to achieve that plan
Must be able to work in a team but have the ability and confidence to work alone
Awareness of ITIL practices and processes.
Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to confidently converse across all levels of management.
