Research Fellow Advanced Energy Vectors Technologies
Blue sky thinking and research into new automotive Energy Vectors technology
To plan, organise and lead a research programme focused on the development and application of novel energy vector technologies and solutions that will support the future requirements
To develop a portfolio of IP and new technical skills to support commercialisation activity.

To develop proposals for significant research projects which increase the knowledge understanding and discovery of new explanations, insights, concepts and processes?
To build and lead a research team
To formulate and undertake early stage research in advanced energy vector technologies leading to novel and inventive concepts
To actively develop appropriate external partners and networks relevant to future collaboration and funding opportunities in this field.

Clear understanding of energy vector applications in the automotive industry and the associated long term research challenges.
Familiar with an advanced vehicle modelling environment such as IPG CarMaker or similar
Experience of research combining experiment and modelling approaches.
Familiar with automotive vehicle design and development processes and their latest developments.
Familiar with global megatrends that will change the design "DNA" of vehicles in the future and the implications of this for future energy vector technologies.

Essential qualifications for the role include;
Engineering Degree (2.1 or above)
PhD in a low carbon technology area.
Recently completed a PhD and looking for a challenging and exciting research role in industry.
Currently working as a research fellow in a university and interested to develop a research career in a highly innovative business.
Using advanced vehicle modelling environments such as IPG CarMaker
Actively involved in application of MATLAB/SIMULINK
