Research Fellow Real World Emissions (Simulation)
Formulation and delivery of research leading to the development of new modelling and simulation / co-simulation approaches to prediction of real world emissions.
Supporting development of new RDE competence's within the business.
To develop a portfolio of IP and new technical skills to support commercialisation activity

To formulate and undertake novel and innovative early stage research that will develop fundamental understanding of variances in vehicle emissions due to real world driving effects.
Researching modelling approaches to cumulative predictions of CO2, NOX and particulate emissions that will lead to new and innovative simulation / co-simulation approaches for the prediction and evaluation of real driving emissions.
To actively develop appropriate external contacts and networks relevant to future collaboration and funding opportunities in this field
To develop proposals for significant research projects which increase the knowledge understanding and discovery of new explanations, insights, concepts and processes.
To contribute to the development of research strategies and production of research roadmaps.
Writing and presenting technical papers at international conferences.
Technical liaison with partner universities including opportunity to supervise sponsored PhD students.

Research Fellow Real World Emissions (Simulation)
Salary NEG DEP on EXP

Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering (2.1 or above).
PhD in a powertrain simulation or control and calibration environment.
Clear understanding of the global legal framework for vehicle emissions certification.
Clear understanding of the variable aspects of RDE and the associated long term research challenges.
Strong modelling background in advanced automotive powertrains.
Good understanding of RDE experimental based approaches
Experience working in automotive industry R&D and/or consultancy in a powertrain and/or exhaust after treatment environment.
Familiar with automotive systems engineering approaches.
Recently completed a PhD and looking for a challenging and exciting research role in industry.
Currently working as a research fellow in a university and interested to develop a research career in a highly innovative business.
Already working for an OEM or Tier 1 in control systems R&D.
Using advanced vehicle modelling environments such as IPG CarMaker
Actively involved in application of MATLAB/SIMULINK
