Capita, the UKs leading Business Process Outsourcer has a rare opportunity for a Senior Marketing Manager to join us in a senior and business critical role. We are looking for an outstanding, motivational and hands-on technical marketing manager; one that's capable of influencing senior executives whilst driving best practice and innovative marketing at a tactical level.

The role is based in our offices in Newtownabbey and whilst the role is Monday to Friday we can be flexible regarding the times worked.

What you will do

This is a key role, responsible for supporting the Sales Directors to build a strong pipeline and drive revenue growth throughout the business. Commercially astute with deep experience in Technology marketing you will have experience across both the public and private sectors.

With end-to-end responsibility for building awareness, interest, pipeline and driving upsell campaigns you will provide clear leadership across the business internally and demonstrate a clear understanding of the market and our customers. A challenging hands-on role, the Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager will be responsible for planning, budget management, competitive research, creating sales materials, running targeted campaigns and events (offline and online) and building compelling customer case studies. A clear ROI on both resource and marketing spend must be evident at all times to demonstrate the value of various initiatives and ensure that marketing supports our Sales Teams.

This is an incredibly challenging and broad role, ideal for someone who is results driven with ambition, drive, focus and tenacity to achieve maximum impact within a defined budget. Most importantly in this role is a strong passion for quality; creating compelling ROI from in-house resource and selected agencies.

Your experience and skills will include:

  • Experience in a technical marketing role and a solid understanding of IT trends and the business value of IT.
  • Experience of running teams, both virtual and actual.
  • Experience in successfully managing marketing budgets.
  • Is imaginative and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. Has a strong appreciation of issues in the relevant market sector(s) from financial services and local government through to the commercial sector.
  • Educated to degree level - Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Business/Marketing). Ideally have a professional qualification in marketing and/or a masters qualification.
  • Shows excellent interpersonal skills, especially with regard to communication of technical matters to non-technical people. Has become familiar with the concepts and practices required to implement effective IT solutions. Strong presenter able to negotiate terms with third parties and be persuasive when balancing requirements of large sales teams.
  • Strong track record of developing vertical market of technology propositions into the IT services market.
