The Project ILS Lead has overall responsibility for the co-ordination of the ILS activities within the ILS Team including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

* Responsibility and accountability for the overall management and execution of ILS programme.
* Implementation of the contractual ILS requirements (e.g. SoW and Sub-System Specification).
* Ensuring ILS representation in all programme activities.
* Establish and maintain working interface with the ILS Team.
* Implementation of the ILS Programme of activities in accordance with the Integrated Support Plan (ISP).
* Influence the design of the Hardware.
* Creation and subsequent updates of the Supportability Case Reports.
* Creation and subsequent updates of the Reliability, Maintainability & Testability (RM&T) Case Reports.
* Management of multiple OEMs from an ILS perspective.
* Influence the design and development of the Support Solution for the programme (e.g. management of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintainability Demonstrations).
* Participation at project management reviews.
* Attending design and programme reviews and co-ordinating with relevant disciplines.
* Management and progressing of formal ILS monthly reports.
* Functional responsibility for the ILS Team.

* Engineering related degree or considerable experience in ILS.
* A thorough knowledge of the Support Solution Envelope (SSE), ILS related standards (Def Stan 00-60, 00-600, JSP 866 and Def Stan 00-40) and the interaction between the different disciplines and requirements.
* An understanding of ASD S1000D and S2000M.
* A proven track record of managing and delivery of complex support solutions.
* Experience of managing staff.
* Experience in Project Management and ILS programmes.
* Experience in management of internal and external customers and OEMs.
* An understanding of the interdependencies of System Engineering, ILS, Human Factors and Safety.
* Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office.
* Must be a Team player, but also able to work on their own initiative.
* Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure.
* Must have excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Confident briefer in the presence of senior management.
