Job Purpose:
To deliver projects, bids and funded development to time and budget.

Scope/Dimensions:
Managing multiple Projects ranging in size up to ~£2m

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following:

* Managing, controlling and reporting of projects and tasking to meet milestones, schedule and budget requirements.
* Generate and maintain accurate monthly forecasting of cash, costs and resources
* Effectively managing project issues, risk & opportunities, data, and action logs, including item closure.
* Planning and conducting effective internal, customer and sub-contractor progress reviews, generating agendas and taking minutes.
* Establishing and implementing Project Plans, to provide planning basis for the team and customers.
* Generating and submitting cost estimates for approval and generation of subsequent proposals
* Establishing and maintaining project metrics to measure and report progress against
* Preparing customer & internal progress reports in an agreed format.
* Maintain the monthly resource loading requirements for the team and to maintain the team's Gantt chart
* Effectively communicating with all project stakeholders to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships.
* Managing subcontractors to deliver requirements on time and to budget
* Experience in project managing engineering development projects in the defence sector.
* Ability to successfully manage and deliver multi-disciplined projects from concept to delivery and closure.
* Experience of MS Office including MS Project
* A strong and varied background in scheduling/budgeting/cost management with proven commercial/technical astuteness and demonstrable good judgment.
