Oracle DBA – Contract – Bristol – £375 - £500 a day – 3 Month Rolling – SC Clearance My client, a Large Defence Body, is looking for an Oracle DBA for a 3 month rolling contract based in the South West.

The successful Oracle DBA will have significant experience of Oracle Database 10g & 11g, RAC, ASM and Data Administration. You will have experience of building and managing in the following capacities:

  • Advanced Security Features (Oracle Database Vault, Oracle TDE, Oracle VPD)
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware (OID, OVD, OAM, Webgates, BIEE)
  • Oracle Web Logic Server
  • Oracle Apex
  • Oracle REST Data Services (OAuth2)

Candidates will also be expected to have an understanding of the following technologies:

  • Single Sign On (Kerberos, SAML2 AD)
  • Oracle MapViewer
  • Oracle Warehouse Builder
  • Oracle RMAN backup and recovery
  • Oracle Enterprise or Red Hat Linux
  • Linux Shell Scripting
  • Writing and Debugging Oracle SQL and P/SQL Packages

It would be beneficial if you had already worked within a data warehousing project and has a working knowledge of wider defence systems and services. Any of these other skills would also be very valuable to the project:

 

  • WMWare vRealize Suite
  • TOAD
  • Oracle EBS 11i
  • Oracle OID and SSO
  • Oracle Discoverer, Forms and Reports
  • OEM Cloud Control

Please Note Due to the nature and location of the role, candidates are required to hold an active and valid SC Security Clearance
