A great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our friendly Financial Accounts team working 22.5 hours per week over 5 days

Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
*Corporate Card Administration -To administer the Corporate card function, analyse monthly statements and police any entries that are outside company policy
*Hedge Quotations -To obtain hedge quotations within the automated treasury model and advise the Project Finance team
*Deferments - Monitor and process monthly HMRC Deferment account entries
*Intercompany - Processing invoices received into the department as well as raising and receipting various purchase orders
*Monthly PSA Payroll Audit - To be able to analyse payroll expense data in order to highlight PSA entries
*Bank Wire Transactions - Enter or release urgent supplier wire payments
*Financial Processes - To regularly review and ensure financial processes are administered within the department; including SOx documentation and BPL processes
*To Assist/Cover Other Areas - Within the Finance area there would be a requirement, in periods of annual leave and sickness, to perform accounting specific tasks in the following areas; Monthly Reporting, Reconciliations, Intercompany Transactions and Reconciliations, Bank Accounts, Forecasting and Archiving

Education/Experience
Required Skills & Abilities:
*IT Skills - Good level of computer literacy
*General Skills - Accuracy and numeracy are essential. Efficient, conscientious team player able to work on own initiative when required
*Team Work - The ability to communicate, organise, be flexible, and work well within a team. Ability to work to tight deadlines when required.
Required Education & Experience:
*Experience working within an accounts department or knowledge of accounting practice
*Good Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel and Word
*Familiarity with Oracle Systems would be an advantage although training would be given
*A good standard of education; GCSE level or above or working towards a professional qualification
