Job Description

A Technical Support Engineer is required to work on-site in Bristol, with occasional travel to other UK sites. Your role will involve managing and answering technical queries for the parts in the client's product range, liaising with Design Authorities, sourcing alternative parts whilst managing obsolescence and carrying out Customer and Supplier reviews.

You will have will have a technical, enquiring mind, and can come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background. This role may suit an ex-Royal Navy engineer? A background in, or understanding of, supply chain/logistics would be beneficial but not essential. Technical hands-on experience or exposure would be advantageous

Skills / Experience

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifically mechanical components
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
An understanding of measurement and reporting.
Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, specifications and handbooks.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
A broad interest in engineering technology and the enthusiasm to learn and develop are both essential.
