Security Administrator

Must be capable of obtaining a UK Developed Vetting Security Clearance

The Security Administrator shall use a series of automated auditing tools (Splunk software and associated reports) also augmented with manual processes to insure that auditing occurs to guarantee compliancy with the accredited systems. Windows' audit policy determines the type of information found in the Security log.

* Knowledge/experience of Splunk, security administration and Windows auditing. Correlation of security events to identify root cause and perform corrective action Prior System administration experience

* Certified in Security+

* Demonstrated system administration skills, to include:

o Engineering skills required for maintaining Enterprise Server Racks

o Strong Working knowledge of SSUVPN security architecture with integration into multi-layered Firewall architecture)Backups of Physical servers (Windows 2013 OS), Hyper-V virtual machines

o Disaster recovery/restores

o Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of rack components

o Software Maintenance - applying OS updates, antivirus/antispyware updates, and patch updates

o User Account Maintenance (Active Directory)


Desirable But Not Essential Skills:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create presentation material for Base Leadership (e.g. Officers and management)

* Proficiency in all MS Office applications

* COTS/developed software skills

* Software Engineering background and experience

* Integration & Test experience
