Mechanical Design/Development Engineer to join a wireless telecoms development team.
To design, develop and verify mechanical hardware for the company's LTE wireless product portfolio, including indoor and outdoor base stations and customer equipment

Responsibilities
1. Review & interpret/decompose customer requirements
2. Development requirements generation, interpretation and expansion/decomposition, study and clarification
3. Physical architecture generation and development including product structuring for variant management
4. Architecture development of concepts and schemes and working with hardware & system engineers including
5. Thermal architecture physical development, evolution and analysis/simulation
6. Write design specifications/documents
7. Write design implementation documents
8. Detailed design including integration of mechanical design with PCBA development
9. Product structuring and BOM generation and development to/through NPI
10. Develop PCBA detailed designs for/with hardware design engineers (analogue, digital & power
11. Write and perform design verification on prototype(s)
12. Design for manufacture to product realisation, prototype, NPI or production plus ongoing current engineering
13. Development field and installation documentation
14. Support field queries/clarification technical
15. Perform technical studies for requirements development clarification, fault analysis or technical feasibility
16. Problem reporting, tracking and resolution ie, configuration management and change control

Education/Experience
* Product Development Process ISO, NPI, Change Control
*First hand knowledge, use and development of tool suites within an evolving development environment particularly ProEngineer, WF/Creo, Windchill/PDM
*Knowledge of and design to ETSI, MIL, Def standards wrt electronics and environmental requirements for indoor, outdoor and vehicle environments
*Product Approval regimes and hardware/mechanical impact ie. EMC, Safety and Radio approvals - eg. CE marking, FCC, UL and CSA
*Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering/related subject
*Considerable experience within industry and/or equivalent, ideally within an electronic product/system development through to production environment
