Sopra Steria Aero, Defense and Security are rapidly expanding and due to projects won, we are currently seeking a Service Transition Manager to join our business on a permanent basis.
We are ideally seeking an ITIL certified Service Transition Manager who will be responsible for Programmes, Projects, and Demands to ensure all Service Design, Transition, and Acceptance activities are carried out. The majority of projects are Infrastructure based, so a good understanding of IT Infrastructure is required.
This role involves working on assigned Projects and Demands, working with Project Management, Demand Management and Delivered Service to ensure the smooth transition into Live Service. They will have responsibility for:
- Service Design (dependent on level of experience)
- Service Transition
- Service Acceptance
Applicants must be articulate, analytical and pragmatic, and be able to work at both a Technical and Management level.
- Good understanding of IT Service Management (Management or Team Manager Level)
- Good experience of Service Transition and Acceptance in an IT environment
- Experience of Service Design in an IT environment
- Experience of working with Projects (ideally Prince II)
- Technical background / understanding (ideally infrastructure)
- ITIL V3
- Financial and Commercial awareness
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good written and oral communications skills
Applicants should have an extensive background in Management or operating in a Team Leader position with the desire to move into Service Transition/Design. Applicants with a Government / Defense / Ex-Military background is highly desirable but not essential. Career progression encouraged.
