The primary role for the Business Planning Manager is to ensure the forward investment plan meets the needs of business that the budget is secured, maximised to the best effect and targets are realised.
The enhancement of the Business Planning Manager and Capability Team will provide more information to respond to a greater variety of key decisions as well as the ability to implement key strategic infrastructural and capability projects through the CapEx process.
Main Purpose of Role
The primary role for the Business Planning Manager (CapEx and Infrastructure) is the development and management of the CapEx process that will ensure the forward investment plan meets the needs of business that the budget is secured, maximised to the best effect and efficiencies / growth targets are realised.
This role is the single point of contact for CapEx proposals and is responsible for the submission and presentation of key strategic and operational business cases that support the required investment. The role will liaise with key stakeholders within the BU to help populate the business cases and develop requirements for the forward investment plan.
This role will also provide and develop requirements to enhance the infrastructure capability utilising a risk based approach and is responsible for the financial reporting of WSBU CapEx on a monthly and quarterly basis.

- Ability to interface with all managers and industrial workforce

- Control of Secret Information
- HNC / HND qualified in Engineering, Technical or Business Management
- APM Project Management
- ILM Level 5 (or working towards)
