Seeking a motivated Research Analyst to join a world-class recruitment service for the British Army.

About the role

As a Research Analyst will be responsible for commissioning, analysing and interpreting third party research in order to provide insight to the planning of business development initiatives.

You will be competent in analysis of information and market research, responsible for the collation of performance, geographic and demographic data to determine operational targets.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to provide input to operational decisions, provide recommendations to senior leadership and develop a thorough and rich understanding of recruiting operations.

About Capita - Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP)

Capita Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP) is part of Capita plc, the UK's leading provider of business process management and integrated professional support service solutions, with 68,000 staff across the UK, Europe, South Africa and India.

Since March 2012, Capita has been working with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in a partnering arrangement with the armed forces to deliver recruitment services for the Army. The project represents a major investment in the transformation for military recruiting.

The contract covers the entire recruiting and selection process for both the Regular Army and the TA, and is helping transform the way the Army recruits its officers and soldiers.

What you will do:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the recruiting strategy and processes, ensuring that information requirements are identified and recorded

  • Develop a rich understanding of the Main Target Audience (MTA) and its propensity to serve in order to inform future attraction plans

  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of the recruiting environment and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitor progress against the RPP operational plan

  • Work closely with IIU colleagues to understand potential future developments and progress of current business development activities

  • Raise awareness of opportunities and risks evidenced by data captured by the recruiting process or through completion of research initiatives

  • Provide expert guidance in the interpretation of Business Intelligence generated by the IIU and provide expert advice on recruiting data to RPP Plans Team to enable development of planning artefacts (e.g. Geographic segmentation)

Your experience will include:

  • Competent in analysis of information and market research
  • Ability to convert research and provide advice on communication, applications and geographical components
  • A background in presenting to key stakeholders and putting together briefing documents
  • Competent in MS office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • A background in Marketing, Customer Insight, Psychology Recruitment or HR desirable, but not essential
  • Availability of an accurate and up-to-date research plan and portfolio of findings and identification of opportunities to improve business processes through the generation of insightful analysis
