Supplier and Performance Manager

A Supplier and Performance Manager is required to build and manage key supplier relationships in the Security and Defence Sector in London. This newly created position will give an experienced Supplier Manager the opportunity to support a relatively new and busy IT and Infrastructure Support Team. Our undisclosed client is looking for candidates with DV Clearance however we will consider your application if you are eligible to apply.

The key goal of the Supplier Manager is to ensure that our client gets the best value out of the current vendors and that the service provided is of a satisfactory standard and in accordance with the contract. In this role you will be given the opportunity to own negotiation and management of approximately 10 suppliers made up of Telephony and Blue Chip organisations.

As well as external vendor management this role will also include the internal management of customer relationships ensuring the infrastructure support team are delivering the required level of service to our customers.

Supplier Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiating, reviewing and revising contracts and SLA's with 3rd party providers
  • Managing day to day strategic relationships with suppliers of goods and services
  • Create a supplier information database to store various key contractual documents is key
  • Working with procurement to manage procurement of goods through the livecycle
  • Working with internal engineering functions to identify KPI's around service performance and helping to generation SMART objectives
  • Chairing service review meetings with suppliers and internal customers
  • Create and manage the supplier information database

Supplier Manager Key Skills

  • Experience of contributing to SoR's, ITT's and RFQs (E)
  • Experience of working in an IT Department (E)
  • Experience of working with IT Service Management (E)
  • Working familiarity with ITIL and or other ITSM frameworks (D)
  • Experience of accounting, budgeting and chairing in an IT Delivery environment (D)
  • Reviewing and quality assuring contractor offerings from suppliers (E)
