Electrical & Electronic Manager / Engineering Manager - Bristol - Salary Competitive + benefits

A prestigious engineering / industrial industry leader are looking to bring in an experienced Electrical and Electronic Engineering Manager to join their team and lead a number of high profile and complex transformational projects.

Role Summary/Purpose

We are seeking a strong and effective Electrical & Electronic Engineering Manager. In this role you will build and develop a team of product experts and disciplines.

This is a key engineering role with significant responsibility for delivery solutions to meet project, client and business requirements, leading a team executing on multiple complex projects both with Electrical & Electronics aspects.

Technical experience required:

  • Designing for CE compliance (EMC, LVD, RoHS, WEEE, BS7671, etc).
  • Analogue and Digital Electronics.
  • Electrical Power and Communication Systems.
  • Industrial instrumentation and analogue signal conditioning.
  • Electrical schematic capture and analysis tools.
  • Multi-layer surface mount and through-hole Printed Circuit Board design.
  • Automatic Test Equipment and Thermal and Vibration Testing.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an Engineering leadership role.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong ability to manage a global team in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and Project management skills
  • Proven ability to achieve business' targets
  • Able to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and customers
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, process verification and validation methodologies and servicing in relevant manufacturing environments.
  • Subject matter expert in Mechanical product line.
  • Technical problem solving and report out.
  • Resilient & persistent under all circumstances.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Subsea controls products & equipment experience

Background and experience

  • Proven experience in an Engineering leadership role.
