See yourself joining a fast-growing team of talented Graphics Design Programmers supporting immersive simulations. The successful candidate will be working on supporting our worldwide customer base in real-time simulations in a range of different simulation fields
We are seeking a talented programmer with a desire to be a key part of a small team developing and utilising a high-performance graphics engine on the PC, ultimately for use with v-walls and dome projection arrays. The successful applicant will be interested in all things graphics related and work as part of the team improving and optimising an existing engine, as well as developing all aspects of a new, Unity-based engine for current and future projects.
Requirements gathering from documentation and customers
Installation, configuration and testing of software systems on new and existing simulators
Implementation of 3D graphics in C++, C# and Unity
Formal testing of simulator software and complete systems
Developing new features and effects for a legacy engine
Redeveloping existing models, features and effects for a new engine
Profiling and optimisation
Factory/Site Acceptance Testing with Customers
Create demos, concepts, screenshots and video for Sales & Marketing
Attending meetings held by the Lead Graphics Programmer or Project Manager
Occasional on-site installations
Resolve art issues raised by developers, testers and customers
Graphics Programmer or Graduate Graphics Programmer
Dorset, Bournemouth, Ferndown, Christchurch, Southampton, Wiltshire, Hampshire
Salary: Neg Dep on Experience
Real-time application development experience
Simulation, games or 3D graphics knowledge
Experience with OpenGL, Unity
Network programming experience
Experience using version control systems (CVS, SVN etc)
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as computing, software engineering or games programming
