Principal Indirect Procurement Buyer (JCT) :
Due to a substantial increase in workload a World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit a Principal Indirect Procurement Buyer (JCT).
Important role information - Candidates MUST have JCT contract knowledge.
The roles requires a candidate with a deep understanding of JCT Contracts, and are aware of the most recent changes to JCT Contracts since 2011. The JCT produces standard forms of contract for construction, guidance notes and other standard documentation for use in construction. At the Stevenage site the company plan to install two new building, hence the knowledge is key .
Please Note: you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance.
The contract is initially for 11 months (running to the end of 2017)
Department offering hourly rates of £28- £36 per hour dependent on skills and experience.
Principal Indirect Procurement Buyer (JCT) Description:
The IGP organisation is responsible for purchasing direct and indirect products and services for both projects and the business. Total spend is approximately €500M per year across UK, France and Italy. An opportunity has arisen in the UK indirect Procurement team which is currently responsible for the following categories, Facilities Management, HR Services, Learning & Development, Contract Labour, Group Travel, Engineering Offload and Outsourcing and all General Procurement.
•You will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Management Category Manager in JCT contract negotiation, drafting and administration for building works on our Stevenage site.
•You will be expected to keep up to date with the latest developments/improvements in the marketplace and research and recommend improved models within the category.
Attend regular supplier review meetings to ensure they are delivering to contract SLAs.
Travel within the UK may be required, to work closely with our UK stakeholders and suppliers
**Strong JCT Building contracts knowledge is a must**
• Competent and experienced Procurement Specialist, with a proven track record in delivering cost savings and service enhancements through established procurement best practice and implementation of the tender process;
• Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual able to deal with complex situations
• Competent contract negotiator with ability to draft contract agreements
• Strong interpersonal skills, a forward thinking approach and an appreciation of cross cultural working
JCT contract knowledge & the ability to draft such contracts is an absolute essential for this role. This position will run to year end of 2017 only to support the delivery of building works this year on our Stevenage site.
