You will be working for a global Cyber Security Vendor looking to further strengthen it's technical support division with the addition of a Technical Support Engineer.
In terms of what they are looking for, it's mainly those with two or three years minimum experience in a 2nd or 3rd line technical support, preferably with respect to a security product. If you have a background of supporting multiple security products, working in different companies that is a massive plus-point.
There's good progression options to Consultant level positions where you're able to get out and about to advise and solve problems for customers in addition to a very technically strong team to learn from too (plus they're pretty nice guys to boot!).
You must have at least 3 of the following requirements inclusive of (1) and (2):
- UNIX - Strong understanding, preferably supporting a Linux/UNIX-based product or working in a role where Linux administration is a key part of your role.
- Scripting - Language agnostic but you'd need to have experience in using these for remote troubleshooting and patching purposes.
- Networking - At a minimum to a Network+ or CCNA level.
- Security - At a minimum to a Security+, CCNA Security or GSEC level.
