Cyber Security Consultant - Vendor - London - 60-85k
As a Technical Security (PS) Consultant, you will be working for a global Cyber Security vendor looking to further strengthen its professional services division in a role that's remit encompasses the full pre-sales and post-sales life-cycle of solution implementation.
The role will be based in London with travel mainly being in London and the South East (although there will be occasional travel to other parts of the country and Europe).
As you'll regularly be interacting with internal staff on client sites, ideally you will have come from a technical operations background (e.g. SOC/Monitoring, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Forensics) or Solution Design (e.g. SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, IAM, Firewalls, Routers, Switches), preferably vendor agnostic with a history of having to be adaptable in your technological repertoire. To support this understanding it would be good to have a strong knowledge of wider networking and security principles (such as IP routing, Network Security, Application Security, DNS).
Since a large number of work can be done remotely, a good understanding of scripting languages (e.g. Python, PHP, Perl) and programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, Perl) is needed to fix problems on client sites fast and efficiently. As a consequence of this, having excellent Linux troubleshooting skills is a must (for example problems with regards to particular configurations, networking and VMs and package management).
An excellent grasp of cyber-related protocols, standards and frameworks as well their practical application (e.g. TCP/IP, ISO27001, Rest APIs, NIST, SABSA, TOGAF) would also be needed in order to ensure the proper integration of their tools and applications with the clients' security environment.
If you feel this role would be of interest to you, do feel free to give me an email on 'a.fernandes[att]computerfutures[dot]com' with an up-to-date version of your CV and a good time that we may speak.
