Major Incident Room Word Processing Operator

Experience and Qualifications:

RSA II standard or equivalent in typing/word-processing and have GCSE or equivalent in English.

2 years recent word processing experience, must include audio work.

Experience of working in a Major Incident Room.


Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to strict deadlines and without direct supervision.
Be flexible to undertake any other word processing work that may be required.

Good communication skills and team worker.
Must possess tact and diplomacy.
Must have the ability to work in an office environment as part of a team.

Applicants will be expected to work with material of a confidential, sensitive and potentially distressing nature.

Must have a working knowledge of Windows based system, particularly Microsoft Word, and experience of audio work.

Must be able to operate good office practice.

Provide a full copy typing and word processing service, including letters, internal and external reports, minutes, agendas, witness statements, summaries and records of interviews.

Provide a full audio typing word processing service undertaking the summarising and completion of tape transcripts

Create pro-forma type documents using word processing hardware and software as directed.

Must be able to travel anywhere in the Force area. (If relevant)
