Permanent - c. £40,000 - £45,000 + Full benefits package including - Contributory pension scheme, share incentive plan, health care scheme, childcare vouchers and other leisure discounts

An exciting opportunity has arisen for to join a global leading Defence Technology & Security Organisation.

The role

The role of Business Operations Manager is to implement the profession and skill group strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring business demand is met through maintaining and developing the leadership of group skills, competency and capacity within their teams in order to meet the performance and fulfil the demand objectives as defined by the Head of Business Support.

The key accountability's of this role will be:

  • Improve business delivery by acting as a trusted advisor, mentor and key contributor to the businesses
  • Support and develop the existing team leads across a specific region
  • Drive a culture of continuous professional development
  • Challenge and manage poor behaviours applying corrective changes
  • Develop an effective environment that facilitates vibrant and collaborative teams

The fit

The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Demonstrable experience working as a senior level Operations Manager
  • Senior stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • Proven leadership experience and development of large teams
  • Experience within Mentoring, Guidance and conflict resolution
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Business support or business change experience is not essential but would be very beneficial
