Solution Architect- Workforce Management

My Client who a leading UK Retail Company are looking for a Solution Architect to join their team on a 6 month contract based in Bracknell.

The ideal Solution Architect will have previous experience implementing a Workforce Management solution.

Key Responsibilities:

While the exact demands of the role will inevitably vary, the Solution Architect will be responsible for elaborating the overall design of the technology solution and its integration into related systems such as HR and Payroll. Working to and supported by an Enterprise Architect, this role will need to produce the design documentation required to secure approval from technical governance boards.

Job Requirements:

  • Elaboration of solution designs with both internal project stakeholders and vendors
  • Documenting these designs, particularly with regard to the standard "High Level Design" artefact for approval by the Architecture Review Board
  • Assisting the various projects from a technical perspective with the implementation of the defined solution architecture
  • Advising on and helping to develop the wider strategic roadmap for how WFM can help continue to provide excellent service to our customers and a great environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of effective solution architecture showing an appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • A specific understanding of WFM gained through involvement with the implementation of a solution in an organisation of comparable scale


  • Experience of EA modelling tools
  • Experience of good integration practice and an understanding of the concepts of SOA
