Lead Engagement Manager - Home-Based - Contract.
A global IT services company is searching for a Lead Engagement Manager to join their team on a contract basis. The role will involve working on various customer accounts so the position with be home-based with travel to customer sites when required. (Most sites are based in South-East England but travel to other parts of the UK, including Scotland, will be required).
The Lead Engagement Manager will manage a team of SaaS Managers so candidates must have experience of managing teams of 5-15. The Lead Engagement Manager will also have their own responsibilities as an Engagement Manager.
The Lead Engagement Manager will be responsible for the line management of the SaaS Engagement Managers in addition to having their individual management responsibilities of a specific client engagement and related project activities. As an Engagement Manager this includes the day-to-day management of all resources assigned to the project and the management of the client relationship, with key stakeholders, at the project level. The candidate will hold end-to-end Programme Management responsibilities including development and management of project plans, issues and risks management, change control management, resource management, budget/financial management, knowledge transfer, development sprint planning and management, with all associated status and financial reporting as required by the project for the customer and the company. In addition the candidate will hold line management duties including personal development, objective setting and act as the overall escalation point and single point of contact for all in-flight deliveries.
Excellent customer interaction and stakeholder management skills to various levels.
Proven software implementation and/or system deployment project management experience.
Experience creating and executing project budgets and managing budget to actual.
Experience estimating projects and system deployments.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to lead a dynamic team (between 5-15 resources) and a complex project with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel
Knowledge of cloud based/SaaS solutions especially ServiceNow.
Knowledge of ServiceNow.com or other industry leading servicemen toolsets e.g. Remedy, HP, CA.
Experience working for a consulting organisation.
Experience of software development lifecycles.
Experience of Agile and Waterfall project methods.
Prince2 or similar industry qualification.
ITIL and/or Service Management experience.
Software consulting experience on various customer project.s
