About the Job:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Control Systems Engineer to join a very dynamic team who thrives in variety, to undertake systems engineering design & delivery services to a varied client base across the maritime industry. My client's control & automation systems account is a successful and rapidly growing part of the business, which has enjoyed significant expansion over the last years in terms of footprint and capability. You will be part of a high performing engineering community, working alongside top-tier consultants and delivering high quality work for exciting clients.

You will work on interesting and challenging client projects which could be as part of a single or multi-disciplinary team, often in a mixed stakeholder environment alongside clients and members of other organisations. Due to the sensitive nature of the work you will predominantly be based in the south London offices

Full details:

You will possess a range of knowledge, skills and ability to support:-

Providing technical expertise and advising on Systems Engineering activities
Helping, designing & implementing technical solutions alongside project managers.
Supporting bidding activity.
Implementing appropriate Standards.
Technical Specifications.

In addition to client technical delivery, you will be expected to support as a senior engineer and provide technical leadership and management the control and instrumentation aspects for a variety of projects, from system studies and investment appraisals through to detailed design.

My client has key accounts across commercial and defence maritime solutions with more than 90 years of history and expertise in navigation, operating in 10 countries, with an extensively presence in Europe , Asia and the Americas employing hundreds of peoples





The requirements

You will also have a proven track record in a number of the following areas:-


You will be able to demonstrate excellent core competence and experience in delivery of Systems Engineering activities.
Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic or Control and Instrumentation Engineering or other relevant discipline.
Able to show good technical experience.
Good understanding of technical effort in relation to bids and ongoing projects.
Experience of technical document production.

The following requirements are desirable:


You will be able to demonstrate excellent core competence and experience in delivery Siemens Software Technologies such as Win CC (OA) , Step 7 , S7-1500,S7-300 &400, S7 -1500.
Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic or Control and Instrumentation Engineering or other relevant discipline.
Ship's machinery control systems
SIL2 Software Development.
Experience of technical document production.
Commercial or military marine engineering.
