Supply Chain Lead (SC Cleared) - 1 month rolling contract - up to £500 per day - London

Candidates must already hold SC for this position due to client requirements and the urgency for the candidate to start

Job Purpose

* Interim supply chain lead role, supporting the Procurement and Supply Chain function during the Transition period of the new Service contract
* Will work closely with the Transition Director, other key Transition stakeholders (Communication, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, etc.) and the Divisional Procurement Fleet Category team to deliver agreed outputs (see below)
* Will be supported by a dedicated Interim Supply Chain Project Support role

* Develop and share communication material tailored to both new and existing suppliers (in collaboration with the Project Communications Lead)
* Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives to cover the vehicle manufacturer / dealership category:
o Clearly define needs / requirements
o Prepare RFPs (to cover whole life cost components)
o Agree NDAs with all suppliers to participate in RFP process
o Issue RFPs and analyse responses
o Conduct negotiations
o Conduct final analysis and develop recommendation
o Draft master contract (in collaboration with Legal and Commercial Leads)




Technical/Specialist Knowledge:

* Fleet category Procurement expertise (vehicle manufacturers / dealerships), including an excellent understanding of vehicle whole life costs.
* Experience of Crown Commercial Services' procurement arrangements
* Experience of working in an 'emergency services' Procurement environment advantageous

* Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, including the development of tender documents and commercial / service level agreements
* Experience in using ARIBA

* Degree
* (M)CIPS

* Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a broad stakeholder group
* Ability to work in a high pressure project / programme-management environment
* NPPV2 cleared (ideally)
