The successful candidate will ensure the continued prosperity and growth of Northrop Grumman and specifically the Cyber Security Division by identifying, promoting, selling and delivering Cyber Security capabilities and service solutions to new and existing clients within the UK in support of the company’s business goals and objectives.

Management and co-ordination of key strategic captures identified by Northrop Grumman which result in successful outcomes (which may include strategically not bidding).

  • Engages and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Northrop Grumman’s strategic national and international objectives.
  • Deep understanding of customer requirements and Northrop Grumman Capabilities which will be delivered through our portfolios
  • The position will support business development efforts across a wide variety of customers and programmes.
  • Leads capture efforts to win new or re-compete contracts. 
  • Engages and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure alignment relative to RFP requirements and overall positioning
  • Leads proposal planning, Conducts Proposal Kick-Off and periodic status meetings
  • Provides guidance and co-ordination of SMEs and other matrixed resources to proposal production schedules, activities and expectations
  • Creates pre-proposal artefacts, such as structured and targeted proposal writing guides, proposal communications plan, setting up dedicated space and access in virtual/collaborative proposal tools, requirements-driven outlines, final bid and proposal estimates and materials for the bid/no-bid review gate
  • Develops detailed proposal delivery plans where required, creates and tracks schedule and budget and report status when required to senior management for key opportunities.
  • Presents proposal at required gate reviews and obtain approval as required to progress the opportunity through the lifecycle
  • Draws the team together and is relied upon to solve problems, brainstorms with and mentors less experienced staff.
  • Request and acquires appropriate resources/consultants for his/her proposal.  Helps develop and manage bid and proposal budget.
  • Demonstrated capability in generating new business through developing winning capture strategies, working collaboratively with Business Development Executives, and developing compelling proposals
  • Experience working with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent persuasive skills

  • Recent experience and detailed understanding of the Cyber Security Market and community
  • Proactive in building relationships with ability to listen and capture customers issues, requirements and plans
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Proactive and dynamic approach to problem solving and opportunity management
  • Proven capability to assimilate and communicate detailed operational and technical information pertaining to Cyber Products and Services
  • A self-motivated achiever and team player, internally driven to accomplish goals
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and verbal
  • Proactive in building relationships with ability to listen and capture customers issues, requirements and plans

Highly Desirable



  • Recent experience of key stakeholder engagement across secure HMG customers
  • Candidate should hold at least DV clearance
