About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work as part of the commercial team to ensure provision of a professional Quantity Surveying service
You will assist in the provision of information to measure the financial and physical performance of projects against targets. Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in maximising profitability of projects/contracts. Assist in the provision of relevant information for preparation of reports and claims to agreed timescales. Assist in the preparation of estimates for all bids relevant to the business stream
You will be focused on two long term frameworks on rail track and signalling/telecoms plus a separate prestigious project for the Belfast Active Transport Hub.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to hold a QS Degree or studying towards one. You should also have some post graduate experience. This doesn't have to be gained in the rail industry, general building is fine. We are looking for candidates with strong relationship/communication skills.Strong excel skills (Vlookup / pivots
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Clear, demonstrable interest in pursuing Professional Membership (ideally RICS)
  • Strong excel skills (Vlookup / pivots)
