Embedded Software Architect

An Global Aerospace & Defence company is looking to hire Embedded Software Architects and Engineers at various levels of experience (Lead, Mid-level, and junior) to join them in their Home Counties site to help develop software for the next generation of complex real time embedded software applications to be used on some of the most cutting edge fast-jet and aerospace platforms being developed in the world right now.

What type of project will you be working on?

What will you do?

  • Develop software for a new generation of advanced, integrated airborne sensor systems .
  • Provide expertise for real time embedded software development .
  • Be responsible for the design and implementation of the software technical solution, making engineering decisions and mitigating technical risk

What do we need from you?

  • Knowledge of designing, developing and debugging software in a real-time embedded environment with an understanding of different software development methodologies , tools and compilers.
  • Expertise in designing, building, testing and maintaining modern real time embedded software applications.
  • Understanding and application of software design methodologies and best practice including Object Orientated, SOLID design principles and use of recognised design patterns .
  • Demonstrable experience and success within your previous roles, including taking responsibility for remaining up-to-date with relevant technology .
  • Strong knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle including the latest continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques .
