Your experience in Supplier Quality and knowledge of driving root cause analysis with suppliers, will play a crucial part in establishing supplier approval system, conducting audits and improving Supplier Quality Performance and ensuring adherence to Quality Management System requirements. Using your extensive background in Quality Assurance, you will drive root cause analysis and the on-going development of increased supplier capability as well as establishing quality standards for suppliers who are providing materials per specifications.

About the job:

The client requires a Supplier Quality Engineer to work with the supply chain, managing their approval process and improving their quality performance. This job includes:

*Managing supplier approval processes, identifying, certifying, and auditing suppliers
*Driving supplier quality management in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards e.g., AS/EN 9100, AS9102
*Driving prioritized supplier non-conformance management and root cause analysis
*Developing suppliers to more effectively support Cobham at lower costs over time
*Ensure Quality Assurance for new and existing suppliers including audits, source inspections, First Article Inspection sign-off and change control process management
*Ensuring accurate flow down of Quality requirements to suppliers throughout Product Lifecycle
*Improving supplier Quality Metrics by driving improvement plans with suppliers
*Ensuring best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity
*Development of supplier capability via strategic and tactical improvement activities.
*Developing, applying, revising and maintaining supplier quality standards.
*Visiting supplier sites to observe quality systems and material manufacture processes.
*Analysing, tracking and reporting discrepancies and corrective actions taken when vendor products are rejected/returned on receipt or fail post acceptance.
*Preparing documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
*First Article Inspections at suppliers
*Continuous Improvement Projects

About You:

To be suitable for the Supplier Quality Engineer job, you will have proven experience of working in a supply chain organization and previous experience as a supplier quality engineer or supplier developer within a technology company (ideally mechanical/aerospace). You will need experience of driving root cause with suppliers and a thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques. You will need an understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100, AS9102 and NADCAP as well as Supplier Relationship management and good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
