Essential Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute domestic, international and customer logistics to meet contractual dates and internal / external customer expectations
  • Expedite all material shortages; liaise with material planners, suppliers, and service providers
  • Attend daily production & planning meetings
  • Control and authorise freight spend/invoices, liaise with finance to capture re-charge opportunities
  • Liaise with customers and CPM teams on engine/accessory/single item movements & contractual obligations
  • Knowledge of hazardous shipment process & arrangement of hazardous shipments
  • Prepare reports for HM Revenue & Customs, Intrastat, IPR Bill of Discharge
  • Liaise with GE Global team for classification of parts/material
  • SAP maintenance and execution, possible requirement for SAP user testing
  • Complete essential internal and external documentation
  • Comply with DFT requirements and work with service providers on Aviation security matters
  • Auditing of import and export entries, manage entry amendments where required
  • Complete required training
  • Ensure continued compliance with GE & HMRC policy & procedures

Desired Characteristics:
  • Green Belt qualified
  • Experience & knowledge of H M Revenue & Customs but not limited to tariff/classification, INCOTERM's or IPR
  • Knowledge of HMRC AEO (Authorised Economic Operator)
  • Knowledge of Aviation Security regulations
  • Knowledge of the legislation surrounding the movements of goods on multimodal transportation
