My Client has an exciting Opportunity for a Technical Architect based in Milton Keynes. They are looking for a generalist with a wide range of technical knowledge as well as a strong Windows Background.

The successful candidate will have the following roles and responsibilities;
*Develop technical architecture specifications which enable the customer to achieve their business strategic objectives.
*Provide the technical expertise and quality assurance for all aspects of design, documentation, processes and products, including assessment of supplier performance.
*Produce accurate estimates and project plans for the design, development and support of infrastructure.
*Provide consultancy on technical aspects of ICT Portfolios / Projects ensuring adherence to technical and quality standards and conformance to the customers ICT strategy.
The Technical capability should be broad and covering a number of the following skills:

*Creation of Low level and High level technical designs
*Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns
*Windows 2003 Server (R2), 2008, 2012, 2016, XP, Vista build, configuration and implementation
*Microsoft Active Directory, design, configuration and implementation
*Antivirus Management, device Management, update Management
*Microsoft SCCM and SCOM
*Auditing and Security products
*Citrix solutions
*Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2012, 2016 build, configuration and implementation
*Microsoft Clustering, build, configuration and implementation
*Networking technologies, protocols, routers, switches, configuration
*Firewalls, configuration and auditing
*Messaging systems, Microsoft Exchange configuration and implementation
*Systems management, Radia, configuration and implementation
*Web servers, IIS, Apache, configuration and implementation
*Backup solutions, tape drives, software, configuration and implementation
*Virtualisation VMWare, Hyper-V
*Cloud Implementation experience Azure, AWS, Office 365
*Mobile Solutions
*Big Data i.e. Hadoop
*Experience in designing and implementing complex solutions
*MCSE/MCITP


Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
