Senior Software Engineer

Our client working in the defence sector is looking to recruit a skilled Senior Software Engineer Engineer to join the product engineering group in designing and developing windows applications and services.
The role will involve working throughout the software development lifecycle, developing software for Windows, including the porting of software developed for previous versions of Windows.
This is an opportunity to work for a leading business within the defence sector at the cutting edge of technology.
Responsibilities

Software Engineering covering the full software development lifecycle, specifically with expertise in:

Requirements analysis
UML analysis and design
Development of new software
Unit testing
Software Integration Testing
Static and dynamic analysis
Defect analysis, fixing and software support
Continuous Integration

Experience required:
C++ development using Visual Studio
Windows 64bit software development, ideally Windows 10 & Server 2016
Analysing and debugging integration issues on Windows platforms
Porting software developed for previous versions of Windows
Windows SDK
UML analysis and design
Working to coding standards
Configuration management e.g. SVN, Git or similar
API development / Windows service development

In addition, the following skills and experience are desirable:
Object oriented design and design patterns
Windows MFC development
Windows Authentication including Active Directory
Working in an Agile (Scrum) environment
Modern C++ development using C++11
C# .Net development experience
Experience of Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management toolset
Some travel nationally and internationally will be required for this role.
