About the role
Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a MTMS Controller.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to hold:
  • JAMES System user
  • City & Guilds parts 1-3 or military equivalent
  • Knowledge of MoD Specialist vehicles including MFV, RIV, TRC, LCARS, TAC and Leyland-Daf Refuellers
  • Minimum of 3-years previous supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of checks and repairs to vehicular 12V, 24V and 240V electrical systems
    Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
  • Directly responsible for all matters relating to the operation of Motor Transport Maintenance Section's maintenance and repair operations applicable to MOD vehicles and associated equipment in consultation and partnership with and support to MT Ops Controller
  • Ensuring all maintenance and repair operations are conducted in compliance with current MOD, Civilian and Company practices, processes, procedures and regulations using JAMES system
  • Ensuring that all mission critical vehicle minimum requirements levels are maintained
  • Maintaining staff skill levels as necessitated by the scope of section operations
  • Ensuring all UT tasks are properly recorded and submitted in accordance with current procedures
  • Maintaining fruitful and beneficial internal and external customer relationships
  • Company, departmental and section image and presentation
  • Section COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk and Environmental assessments
  • Care and currency of section records and publications
  • Section efficiency and cleanliness
  • Section inventories holder
  • Building custodian
  • All other tasks within sphere of experience and capability as directed by line management.
  • Maintain Quality standards as required by ISO: 9001:2000
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards as required by OHAS 18000/1999
  • Maintain environmental standards as required by BSEN ISO: 14001:2004

What else do I need to know?
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
