Configuration Management Specialist - Site Utilities, Plant Facilities & Projects

Based within the Configuration Management Team, AWE are looking for someone to support the management of change across the assets, facilities and utilities that constitute the AWE estate, with the focus being on changes that impact the baseline of key Utility Networks and Facilities.

You will have a strong technical / engineering background developed within an industrial plant / utilities field. You will have change management experience across a diverse technical field or be capable of developing your configuration / change management skills by exploiting your technical capability. Your attention to detail and your ability to analyse and manage data are key skills. You will also be confident in your abilities to liaise with people at all levels across the business and be conversant with the importance of stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

o Manage the asset change process and demonstrate adherence through status accounting.

o Engagement of the Senior Network Manager and ownership of change management on behalf of the Senior Network Manager.

o Stakeholder management - build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders and change managers.

o Work with the Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) teams to ensure alignment with regulations, both internal and external.

o Create, develop and implement processes and procedures to assure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the project team.

o Be a key change and configuration champion.

o Ensure facility baselines are maintained under configuration control.

o Ensure baseline related documentation and information accurately reflects the status of the facilities.

Skills and Experience

o Knowledge and understanding of Environment, Safety and Health requirements and regulations.

o Experience and understanding of working in a highly regulated environment.

o Excellent communication skills.

o Excellent stakeholder management skills.

o Experience of change management and the configuration of (for example) product, plans, specifications, plant and all related documentation.

o Experience of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)

o Utility Systems, Assets and Plant Facility knowledge and experience.

o Experience of working with a requirements management tool would be advantageous.
