Role Purpose

Provides specialist testing advice and delivery is accountable for managing testing activities on application or infrastructure projects within a program or service as part of a risk treatment and validation activity. Supplies stakeholders with the data they require to be able to make informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production.
The role holder may be more focused on technical testing specialism or test management. Principal practitioners have capability in numerous advanced testing areas and/or work on large, highly complex projects in a test management capacity.

The role holder provides Test Consultancy, as part of the D&NS Bid Team, to our client base and will deliver specialist testing advice. The Role Supplies stakeholders with the data they require to be able to make informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production.

The role holder may be more focused on technical testing specialism or test management. Principal Test Consultants have capability in numerous advanced testing areas and/or work on large, highly complex projects in a test management capacity.

Key Accountabilities

• Displays, utilizes and promotes expertise in Testing Best Practice across a number of business sectors, providing expert support to program
• Defines and agrees testing scope with stakeholders
• Accountable for the delivery of testing activities within budget and timescale on programs and projects
• May be accountable for the management of the test team.
• Creates test plan documents including test strategies for projects and programs that address requirements and mitigate the risks of the solution under test.
• Organizes test materials, environments, tools and resources required to deliver the planned testing activities and co-ordinates the delivery of testing against the schedule, reporting test progress, risks and test incidents and collecting test measurements and metrics.
• Leads bid and pre-sales activities relating to test specialism and/or test management
• Leads in development of internal testing standards.
• Leads service offerings in areas of specialism.

• Owns and delivers significant consulting assignments which typically require the management of input from other consultants. Works to the assignment description and consulting standards. Will manage most of the large and more complex client assignments, identifying resource needs.

• Develops and manages the Test Input for preparation of bids for major new work and frequently will take the leading role in client presentations. Has a good understanding of relevant methodologies and techniques and can, without direction, select, adapt where necessary and apply appropriate methods to specific assignments

• Displays, utilizes and promotes expertise in Testing Best Practice across a number of business sectors, providing expert support to program

• Manages and develops relationships with senior management to executive level relationships in order to define and deliver large assignments of high complexity

• Is recognized as a leader within Fujitsu and within an industry area or area of expertise.

• Demonstrates political sensitivity in dealing with client and stakeholders in Fujitsu.

• Capable of developing solutions to problems within own specialist area not previously encountered.

• Full understanding of client business issues and of the most complex concepts and principles.

• Supports in development of internal testing standards.

• Supports test recruitment activities.
