Role: Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor

Location: Reading Area

Closing date: 26/02/19

Salary - £35,000 to £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Waste Supervisor to join our Team.

Job Purpose:

To act as the Technical lead for the management of controlled waste within the Business, to co-ordinate and supervise the controlled waste operations, including task supervision of personnel and management of working areas.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

· Accountable for correct implementation of Controlled Waste processes for Hazardous Waste

· Accountable for inputting the COMAH holdings for WSG into the Company COMAH database

· Responsible for the delivery and management of controlled waste services and work areas

· Supervision of contract personnel and staff

· Planning and scheduling of tasks, ensuring minimum manning requirements are met.

The experience you will need:

· Working knowledge of hazardous waste process and stream

· Previous experience working with Hazardous Chemicals/Substances

· Stakeholder Management

· Understanding of legislation

· Task Management experience

· A HND/Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience in Waste Management or related subject would be acceptable for this role.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
